ADQ - Roadmap

ADQ - Roadmap

The ADQ product roadmap is a high-level visual summary that maps out the vision and direction of ADQ over time.

The product roadmap communicates the why and what behind what we’re building as well as being a plan for executing the product strategy.

This page includes the release information of functional features and non-functional requirements. These are presented at a high level through to the development items in progress. In summary, this provides:

  • Planned items for the quarter along with the sequence they will be implemented

  • What items will be in the next release and what work is in progress

Release Planning

Overview

Our objective is to provide frequent, incremental updates to our platform, ensuring continuous improvement and rapid response to user needs.

Releases are numbered as follows:

  • Major release with significant platform changes (including breaking changes): Incremented by 1 (1.0, 2.0, 3.0)

  • Major release with breaking changes: Incremented by 0.1 (1.1, 1.2, 2.1, 2.2)

  • Patch releases with bug fixes and minor amendments will have an additional 0.0.1 number appended (1.0.1, 1.1.1, 2.2.1)

Release Cycles

  • The ADQ server is a new product and as such new features are added for each release.

  • Each cycle consists of a development phase split into 3 week long sprints including 6 weeks for quality assurance.

  • The status of each release indicates which phase it’s in:

    • SPECIFYING - The release items are currently being agreed and defined. This is your chance to raise feature requests to be included in the release.

    • DEVELOPMENT IN PROGRESS - The implementation of the agreed release items by the technology teams is in progress.

    • QA IN PROGRESS - A beta release has been generated and is undergoing quality assurance testing.

    • GA - QA has completed and so the release is available to customers for an upgrade/install.

  • The other core components of the ADQ release include:

    • FlowDesigner,

    • Data Quality Manager (including toolsets and collectors),

    • Data Quality Clinic and,

    • the ML Microservices (Rule Suggestion, Outlier Detection and Predictive Insights).

It is not a requirement for new releases of these components for each ADQ release unless changes have been made.

Client feedback and requirements are integral to our roadmap. They are considered during PI planning and can lead to adjustments in timelines and feature sets. As such, the versions and timelines outlined here are subject to change based on client input, market demands, and team velocity assessments.

Key Milestones

PI Planning: At the beginning of each Quarter.

Documentation Update: Concurrent with the testing phase.

Sprint Duration: 3 weeks.
